Modern equipment for the National Library
The Japanese government has allocated a grant of $400,000 for the improvement of the digitization equipment of the National Library, with the help of which several scanners, adjacent stations, but also a server for storing information will be procured, reports Moldova 1.
According to the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Igor Sharov, the equipment will contribute to the digitization and conservation of historical, cultural and general interest resources available in the National Library. In addition, the project will increase access to these resources for citizens.
At the same time, the Director General of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Sakamoto Takema, expressed his readiness to continue the cooperative relations between the Republic of Moldova and JICA.
