How will Independence Day be celebrated this year

The 29th anniversary of Independence will be marked differently this year in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. On Independence Day, on August 27, a festive ceremony will take place at the Presidency. This was announced by President Igor Dodon, after he chaired a working meeting on organizing the opening ceremony of the National Holiday "Independence Day", informs Mesager.

The event will start at 10.00, in the sitting room of the first Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, where the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova was voted 29 years ago.

The entire ceremony will be broadcast live on public television.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that this year, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the holidays at the end of August will be marked in a limited format.
