SCM calls for the resignation of Corneliu Gurin from the Constitutional Court in Moldova

The members of the Superior Council of Magistracy have requested the resignation of the judge Corneliu Gurin from the Constitutional Court of Moldova, after they considered the Venice Commission's opinion on the decisions taken by the CCM.

Magistrates decided to further request the acting President of the CC to control Gurin's activity at the Court.

Corneliu Gurin was appointed judge at the Constitutional Court on 11 December 2018 by the SCM.

He also served as General Prosecutor of the Republic of Moldova between 2013 and 2016.
