COVID-19: A person died and 82 new cases of infection
82 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the last 24 hours in Moldova, and one person died. This was announced by the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbrăveanu, in a briefing this evening.
“332 samples were processed. As a result, we have 82 new positive cases, including five cases of import, and 77 cases are local. A person died in a medical-sanitary institution in Chisinau with serious patients. In addition to COVID-19, the person was suffering from other diseases as well”, said the Minister of Health.
According to President Igor Dodon, the Moldexpo sorting center will be operating starting with Friday.
"In Chisinau there are 196 people hospitalized, there are enough places, almost 1000 places in Chisinau. But, starting with tomorrow, the Moldexpo Sorting Center will operate with a capacity of 300-400 people at the first stage and can be increased up to several thousands”, said President Igor Dodon.
Currently, four localities are in quarantine. In all, there are 505 cases of COVID-19 infection in Moldova.
