COVID-19 in Moldova: Another 688 new cases of infection have been confirmed
Another 688 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova, as a result of 2,664 tests. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), out of the total number of cases, six cases are imported from Turkey, Germany, Romania and the Russian Federation. The balance of people infected with the new Coronavirus reached 46,336 cases.
Of the total number of cases, 42 are medical workers, including 11 doctors, 22 nurses and nine auxiliary staff.
According to the quoted source, 589 people infected with COVID-19 are hospitalized in serious condition, of which 37 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus, 1,352 - medium severity condition, the other patients in satisfactory condition.
Another 502 people were treated and discharged. In total, 34,236 people were treated by COVID-19.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths caused by COVID-19. The victims are eight men and six women between the ages of 56 and 71. All the deceased patients suffered from several chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes and other heart diseases. Thus, so far, in our country 1,201 people have died due to Covid-19 infection.
