COVID-19 in Moldova: Another 1,800 cases registered in the last 24 hours

Another 1,800 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova. Of the total number of cases, 8 are imported (3-Ukraine, 1-Czech Republic, 1-Egypt, 1-Germany, 1-Italy, 1-Romania). The total number of tests performed - 4,780, of which 4,385 primary and 395 repeated. The balance of COVID-19 cases in our country reached 191,197.

Out of the total number of cases, 69 are medical workers: 30 doctors, 28 nurses, 11 auxiliary staff. In total, 4,018 patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection are hospitalized in medical institutions, of which 311 are in an extremely serious condition (54 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 658 people were healed. In total, 168,801 people were treated by COVID-19. In home treatment with mild and moderate forms of COVID-19, there are 10,606 people, and 17,605 are under home supervision.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS) also announced the registration of 23 deaths caused by COVID-19, including a surgeon who works at the Institute of Mother and Child.

To date, 92 medical workers have died from COVID-19 infection.
