COVID-19 in Moldova: 362 new cases and seven deaths in the last 24 hours

Another 362 new cases of infection with the new COVID-19 virus were confirmed today, August 7, in the Republic of Moldova, of which 19 in the Transnistrian region. At the same time, in the last 24 hours, seven other people have been killed by Coronavirus. The victims originated from the districts of Anenii Noi and Edinet, as well as from the municipalities of Chisinau, Balti and Soroca and suffered from other chronic diseases.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, out of the total number of cases, 15 are health system workers: doctors - seven, nurses - seven, auxiliary staff - one.

At the same time, another 242 people were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours. Thus, in our country, 18,918 people have been healed to date.

The balance of people infected with the new Coronavirus reached 26,990 cases. Of the total number, 419 patients are in serious condition, of whom 29 are connected to assisted breathing apparatus, 1,174 in medium severity, and the others - satisfactory. There are 2,989 people with mild forms of COVID-19 in active treatment at home. Another 7,000 people completed the home treatment with healing, and are still being monitored by their family doctor.

The death toll caused by COVID-19 in the Republic of Moldova since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 835.
