COVID-19 in Moldova: 24 deaths and 1,550 new cases confirmed
Another 1,550 cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in Moldova, and 24 people died as a result of complications caused by the new Coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection announced.
Of the total number of cases, six are imported.
The total number of tests performed - 4,548, of which 4,200 primary and 348 repeated.
The balance of COVID-19 cases in Moldova reached 189,397.
Of the total number of cases, 76 are healthcare workers: doctors - 26, nurses - 36, auxialiary staff - 14.
In all, 3,960 patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection are hospitalized in medical institutions, of which 322 are in an extremely serious health condition (56 are connected to assisted breathing).
Another 701 people were declared cured. In all, 168,143 people were treated of COVID-19.
10,206 people with mild and moderate forms of COVID-19 get home treatment, and 17,155 are under home supervision.
The virus has killed another 24 people in the last 24 hours. Thus, 4,026 Moldovans have died from coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.
