COVID-19 in Moldova: 1,499 new confirmed cases and another 19 deaths

Another 1,499 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in the Republic of Moldova. The balance of COVID-19 cases in our country reached 108,863.

Total tests performed - 3,557 of which primary - 3,101 and repeated - 456.

Of the total number of cases, 98 are health care workers: doctors - 34, nurses - 48, support staff - 16.

In total, 3,755 patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection are hospitalized in medical institutions, of which 294 are in extremely serious condition (43 are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 564 people recovered. In total, 95,918 people were declared treated by COVID-19.

In home treatment with mild forms of COVID-19, there are 5,368 people, and 29,482 are under surveillance at home.

Another 19 deaths were caused by COVID-19, including one of the employees in the medical system, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection announced.

To date, 57 health workers have died from COVID-19 infection.

The total number of deaths caused by Coronavirus in our country since the beginning of the pandemic is 2,323.
