180 Moldovan citizens, blocked at the Prague airport, return to Moldova

The 180 Moldovan citizens, who were to fly to Chisinau with a charter flight from the Czech Republic, but were stranded at the Prague airport, are on their way home, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Oleg Ţulea in a conference. According to the minister, blocking the Moldovans at the Prague airport "was not a problem created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was not a problem created by the Government". Citizens will be helped to get home, says Oleg Ţulea, reports Mesager.

According to him,  he spoke yesterday with the Czech Foreign Minister and the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Moldova in Prague to find accommodation and food for Moldovans blocked at the airport, said the minister.

Oleg Tulea said that for this flight, as in the case of the flight from Paris, the economic agent sold tickets without being authorized by the Commission for Exceptional Situations. On March 30, 220 Moldovans were blocked at the Paris Airport, after the charter flight  for which they bought tickets, was not authorized. After more than 24 hours spent at the airport, passengers arrived home with authorized charter flights.
