Online psychological assistance for those affected by crisis caused by Coronavirus

A simple click can save you. For several months, a group of ten certified psychologists and volunteers will provide emotional assistance to all those going through crises caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The "You Are Not Alone" project was launched today and will work on social networks. Thus, the specialists want to give a helping hand to those who have lost their loved ones, lost their jobs or suffer from burnout, reports Moldova 1.

Through social media platforms, three groups of certified psychologists and volunteers will provide emotional assistance to those affected by crises caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, whether it is the death of loved ones, profession burns or financial difficulties. Those interested can attend the live sessions or talk to the specialists in private.

"Every evening, on the page pentruviaţa.md, our counselors will be with people who have unbearable pain or who are thinking about suicide. On Tuesday evenings, through live sessions on Facebook, we will be with people who are going through professional membership. On Wednesday evening, we will be with the people who are going through mourning and on Friday evening, we will be with the people who are going through the financial crisis," said the psychologist Liuba Ceban.

"This project would be a bridge from a state of turmoil, of anxiety to a state of hope, of a new alternative, of acceptance and lucidity", specified the psychologist Lia Vârtosu.

The "You Are Not Alone" project is funded by the US Embassy in Chisinau and will run until the end of this year.
