Another 49 fake COVID-19 tests detected by border guards
Another 49 fake tests were discovered over the weekend at several border crossings. Of the documented people, 48 are compatriots and one is a citizen of the Russian Federation.
Most of them obtained the documents through third parties. A number of 20 tests with a negative result at COVID-19 were identified at Chisinau International Airport, 16 at the Criva crossing point, the others -at the Sculeni, Tudora, Giurgiulesti-Galati crossing points.
The border police continue the investigations until they settle all the circumstances. If they are found guilty, they risk a fine according to art. 361 para. (1) Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova.
