Deviations at rest camps detected by ANSA inspectors

Inspectors of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) began unannounced controls at summer camps for children and recorded the first misconduct. This concerns in particular the quality of water used in food blocks, and administrators have been advised to remove nonconformities. So far, only 46 of the 62 permanent-stay camps across the country have received permission to start their activity, reports Mesager.

"Of the 46 camps that have been inspected by our inspectors, 42 have the minimum necessary for activity. At the other food blocks, our inspectors made some prescriptions to be removed by the administration. Unfortunately, out of the 46 camps checked at 12 there were nonconformities regarding the quality of the water used in the food blocks," said Sergiu Sârghi, head of the ANSA.

"This year also, the number of children not paying for rest is quite high, not only children from socially vulnerable families, families with more than three children, single-parent families, families with one or both parents with disabilities, but also children with performances, which is innovative for this year. Also participating are children who are members of youth clubs in localities," said Lucia Caciuc, head of the Municipal Department for the Protection of Child's Rights.

This year too, the cost of a ticket to the children's camp in the capital is 1,950 lei, of which parents pay 20%. Also, more than 3,500 children from socially vulnerable families, war participants, and children who have obtained good results in education will rest free in Chisinau.
