30 young people receive annual scholarships worth 10 thousand lei
A number of 30 young people from Chisinau, Cahul and Taraclia received annual scholarships worth 10 thousand lei under the Scholarships for Your Future Program, Radio Moldova reports.
Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc said at the event that thanks to these scholarships, 30 very good students will focus better on studies, being free of material worries and thoughts on how to ensure some needs on education.
"All the initiatives related to the good results of the students in the higher education institutions aim to support our youth and the future of this country", said Monica Babuc.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbrăveanu, said that this project will reduce inequality in access to university education for young people from socially vulnerable families.
"You have also shown academic performance, you want to invest in your future and the future of this country," said Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
During the four annual editions of the "Scholarships for Your Future!" project, that started in 2014, 540 students participated in the contest, with a total of about 200 scholarships.
