A young man shot dead by a soldier in Balti
A 23-year-old man was shot dead by a military man. The case took place on the evening of January 13, in the village of Elizaveta, Balti municipality.
"Around 23:30, there was an incident involving a military man, an employee of the" North "Regional Directorate of the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri, who was involved in a conflict, shot from the personal weapon, mortally injuring a person of 23 years," mentions the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri.
Thus, the operative group of the Balti Police Inspectorate intervened on the spot, following a call registered by the 112 Service, to establish the circumstances of the case, the military being detained.
The military man was out of service, and the personal weapon was legally held.
The Prosecutor's Office is investigating this case, and the General Inspectorate of Carabineri Officers has ordered the initiation of an internal investigation.
