Center for socially vulnerable people, opened in Ocnita

A medical-social center for socially vulnerable people was inaugurated in Ocniţa. The center has been operating for several weeks, and by next week the institution will be fully operational, reports Radio Moldova.

"The elderly will benefit from high quality medical services of this center, will wash clothes and will speak with other people”, said the deputy chairman of Ocnita district, Eugen Şcalcalov.

According to the center's manager, Ion Ciumac, the group already formed has started its activity.

"The staff is already employed. The nurses go to the beneficiaries' homes. Services will be offered at the center next week starting with January 15. 6 people activate there-3 nurses, a social worker, a nurse and a manager. About 350 people will benefit from the services of this center”, said Ion Ciumac.

The total amount of the project constitutes 1 million 265 thousand, of which the Czech Embassy donated 1 million 175 thousand and the contribution of the City Hall of Ocnita - 90 thousand.

The medical-social center for socially vulnerable people in Ocnita was opened with the support of the Czech Embassy and the “Homecare” Public Association.
