Free medical services for pregnant women from the transnistrian breakaway region
The pregnant women in the transnistrian region as of this year will benefit from free medical services in all the medical centers and hospitals. This refers to mandatory examinations, tests and medicines during pregnancy and at birth, IPN reports.
According to the local health authorities, when the pregnant women are registered officially, they will not pay for the examinations indicated by the doctor. Birth giving at the maternity hospital will also be free.
Earlier, a part of the examinations intended for pregnant women in the Transnistrian region were performed for money. A sum of 6.5 million transnistrian rubles was allocated for providing free medical services for pregnant women.
