"Rădenencele" - folk band from Rădenii Vechi, Ungheni, singing about the traditions of Moldovans

Even if the pandemic upset their participation in some festivals, at the weekend, the members of the folk band "Rădenencele" from the village of Rădenii Vechi, Ungheni, meet for rehearsals. Moreover, in the last month, they participated in several outdoor events organized in the nature reserve "Plaiul Fagului", reports Moldova 1.

Retired a long time ago, the lovers of the folk song from Rădenii Vechi, Ungheni caress their soul with the songs from the old people.

"It is a comfort, a pleasure, I am proud to have reached this age and my voice still speaks for itself. With this we leave the house, we forget about worries, about needs”. "I sang as a child, I also liked it when I retired. We come to the House of Culture to sing for the love of popular music”. "At our age, we forget about sadness and rejoice with the song from our traditions, from our hometown, from the village," say the members of the folk band.

The "Rădenencele" started their activity in 2017.

"It is a band that has already become a model and we are proud of that, because we are rooted in the family of our ancestors. In particular, we sing about our native village, our traditions, our customs," says the artistic director, Lucia Cujba.

"This team is the pride of our village. He was awarded the title of model team in 2019, they have great successes, they participated in the festival in Buzau Romania, other festivals," says the mayor of Rădenii Vechi, Ungheni, Vera Golan.

Unique sequences with the folk band "Rădenencele" will appear in a documentary film in progress about a large traditional event, organized annually in Rădenii Vechi: "Beech Festival".
