Cahul will be greener and more beautiful

The Cahul municipality will be much greener and more beautiful. The mayoralty started the massive planting of trees last autumn and continues this spring, reports Radio Moldova News.

Favorable climatic conditions allowed planting to be carried out during the winter. The trees are planted in already existing green spaces along the sidewalks and streets.

"For Cahul, one of the priorities is green areas, planting trees. Many trees were very old, there were many deforestations, many of the trees are now hinder in the development of the infrastructure. Trees were planted in the area of the town, in the central park, in the squares of the central area, but also in other streets in the neighborhoods, where space allowed us. We planted mainly linden trees and maples, bigger trees, and so on, so that we can grow trees faster. There are still at least 100 trees to be brought on these days. We have established the places where they will be planted," said Mayor of Cahul, Nicolae Dandis.
