Inhabitants of Lunga, Floresti district clean the locality

Several inhabitants of Lunga commune from Floresti district decided to clean the stadium, the kindergarten, the primary school, but also some parts of the road. Residents say that after more than two months, while they observed the isolation measures, they wore masks and gloves and started to work, Mesager reports.

For several days, about 30 villagers have been working side by side to renovate the local stadium. Even if they try to respect the social distance, the works are also a good opportunity to change a word after so much quarantine. What's more, the land is a real attraction not only for children, but also for adults, especially because it has been equipped according to European standards.

"On Saturdays, Sundays, competitions are held here, even the boys from the district come and play, it is actually one of the best in the district", said Mihai Burduja, director of the House of Culture from Lunga.

Together with the mayor, the villagers decided to paint the fence orange, and not by chance. In this way, they supported a campaign launched by the United Nations, which fights violence against women.

"The quarantine period is over and the children are all waiting, and the youth are all waiting to go out, to play a football game, the children to return to kindergarten and we must be ready. We decided on the color orange together with a group of women, to show that women fight in our village and they support any initiative ", said Galina Burduja, the mayor of the locality.

Also with the help of the villagers, the kindergarten  and some parts of the road were repaired. The village of Lunga has about two thousand inhabitants.
