Mass food poisoning in the Soroca district: 13 people are hospitalized
13 people were hospitalized at the Soroca district hospital, after being intoxicated at a memorial table. The information was confirmed for the "Northern Observatory" by sources at the hospital and Soroca Public Health Center (CSP).
Nicolae Gorcinschi, an epidemiologist at CSP, said that 13 people are being hospitalized with food poisoning symptoms.
"The sick are being consulted by the infectious physicians who will diagnose. The first clinical signs present: fever 38.5, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, based on them we suspect food poisoning. The head of the CSP is talking to the economic agent who prepared the meal at the ceremony where the patients ate. He will see the menu, the products, if there will be evidence will take them," Nicolae Gorcinschi said.
According to the information, the patients participated in a funeral ceremony in the village of Holoşnita, Soroca district. The memorial table was prepared by a restaurant in Drochia, a fact confirmed by CSP specialists.
