Another doctor killed by Coronavirus, on the last road
They lined up in two rows, with flowers in their hands, to spend their colleague on the last road. It is the gesture of the medical workers from the Ungheni District Hospital. The chief doctor of the Sculeni branch, Gheorghe Popa, died at the age of 69 due to the new type of Coronavirus, Moldova 1 reports.
The doctor was hospitalized in serious condition at the Ungheni District Hospital on May 9, where he was intubated. He was later transferred to the Republican Clinical Hospital in Chisinau. Due to complications caused by the virus, he lost his battle with the disease on May 20.
So far, COVID-19 has killed 13 health workers.
