Beekeeping business of a resident in Cahul district

Viorica Anghel, a woman with locomotor disabilities from Cahul district created a beekeeping business. Thanks to a non-reimbursable loan of two thousand dollars from the International Labour Organisation, she managed to procure ten beehives and many bee families this spring, which he has already multiplied and now enjoys a group of 19 bee families of the best breed, Mesager reports.

Due to a locomotor disability, caused by a birth trauma, Vioroca Anghel, 35  from the village of Andruşul de Jos never managed to find a job. The idea of ​​beekeeping came to her a few years ago, when her son became ill and had to buy bee products for a long time to rehabilitate him.

The entrepreneur says she produces quality honey.

"Honey is a natural product, both me and my family use a lot of honey and other beekeeping products in different natural remedies, different recipes, colds, bone pain", says the woman.

Viorica Anghel fulfilled her dream after she had passed a theoretical and practical training course in beekeeping, and later she participated in a grant competition within the Local Employment Partnership in Cahul.

"They were trained, after the training they made a business plan and 20 young people out of 60 received grants" said the president of the Beekeepers Association from Cahul district, Sergiu Pâslari.

Viorica Anghel aims to hire one or two helpers. She also has a dream, to help a few other people with disabilities in the region to follow his path and to set up a profitable business as well.
