Meeting of the Joint Control Commission fails
Meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) held In Bender fauked. This is after the representatives of Tiraspol repeatedly refused to include on the agenda pressing issues, such as the illegal presence of the so-called "border guard" posts and the abuses of the force structures on the left bank of the Nistru, Mesager reports.
Despite the insistence of the Chisinau authorities, but also of the representatives of Ukraine and the OSCE Mission, the representatives of the Transnistrian region stated that these issues do not fall within the competence of the Joint Control Commission.
However, in order not to completely jeopardize the work of the commission, the parties decided to hold an extraordinary meeting, with only two topics on the agenda. Thus, the new representative of Ukraine - the defense attaché of Ukraine, Colonel Alexei Braghinet, and two other experts from the Chisinau Delegation were confirmed in the composition of the Joint Control Commission.
