Fiscal and budgetary policy for 2021, approved in first reading

The deputies voted in the first reading the draft budgetary-fiscal policy, the draft law on the state budget and the law on the state social insurance budget for 2021. These were not debated in the plenary of the Parliament. The documents were approved with the votes of the deputies from PSRM and the "Pentru Moldova" Platform.

"The committee, by majority vote, proposed to the Plenary to approve this project in the first reading," said the chairman of the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, Vladimir Golovatiuc, referring to the draft fiscal policy.

"These are basic documents for the calendar year. We, the Socialists, do not keep to power, if you put forward a motion of censure and bring down the Government, we offer you the opportunity to appoint a new Government and this Government to come up with fiscal policy. We must vote the budgets, because without these documents the country cannot develop. It's about pensions, salaries, medicine. If we don't approve, what do we do with the healthcare system? ”, said Vlad Bătrîncea in a briefing.

"These laws will lead to higher prices, laws that raise VAT on farmers. There are anti-people laws that will worsen the situation in Moldova. We tried amicably, early this morning to propose them to postpone these doubtful projects ", says the president of the PAS faction in the Parliament, Igor Grosu.

The voting procedure happenx amid boos, pushes, chants and blocking of  the central rostrum.
