"Pro Moldova" aims to reduce the expenses for the presidential institution

"Pro Moldova" registered today in the Parliament a draft law, which provides for the amendment of the Law on ensuring the activity of the President of Moldova and of the Law on the State Protection and Guard Service. The leader of "Pro Moldova", Andrian Candu said in a briefing that the budget of the Presidency has tripled in recent years, and the approval of these laws would reduce the costs of maintaining the presidential institution.

"The amendments refer to everything that means advisers and apparatus of the President of the Republic of Moldova by the fact that this structure will be approved every year in the Parliament. The presidency renounces the residences from Condriţa and Holercani, the legal provisions and the benefits of special transport, including helicopters or special aviation flights, the structure of the apparatus is simplified in order to save money", said Candu.

At the same time, "Pro Moldova" also proposes that the State Protection and Guard Service be transferred from the subordination of the Presidency to that of the Government, and the president should no longer benefit from state guard for four years after the end of his term, but only one year.
