The elected president, Maia Sandu, had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Ion Chicu

The elected president, Maia Sandu, had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Ion Chicu. According to Maia Sandu, during the talks, the head of the Government was suggested to resign, Radio Moldova reports.

"I had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Chicu. I told him that the budget presented by the Government is not able to help the citizens, on the contrary, it contains schemes from which corrupt deputies will continue to make money. I told him that the country needs another Parliament and another Government. The resignation of the Government is the shortest way to this goal," wrote Maia Sandu on her Facebook page.

"During the discussion, Prime Minister Chicu respectfully asked all political forces in Parliament to carefully examine the budget-fiscal projects, or he is convinced that the elected president understands very well the risks of entering the new year without an approved budget. The Government is ready to present arguments / explanations on any comma / figure in those projects in Parliament. Any amendment of the deputies will be examined and endorsed by the Government, and the deputies will decide on the final text of these laws. The Prime Minister fully shares the opinion of the elected President, that this Parliament must be urgently dissolved," reads a communiqué from the Government.
