President Maia Sandu sends a message of condolences to her Ukrainian counterpart

The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, sent a message of condolences to her Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, in connection with the fire at a nursing home in Kharkov, which resulted in victims.

"I learned with deep sorrow about the fire at a nursing home in Kharkov, which resulted in human casualties. In these difficult times, please accept, on behalf of the people of the Republic of Moldova and on my behalf, our deepest feelings of compassion and solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Please send our sincere condolences to the families of the bereaved ", reads the message of condolences of the Presidency.

At least 15 people lost their lives in a fire on Thursday, January 21, at a nursing home in Kharkov, in eastern Ukraine. According to preliminary information, 33 people were in the building at the time of the fire. The fire broke out in the afternoon on the first floor of the two-story building.
