PAS challenged to CCM the draft law by which SIS was removed from the subordination of the president

The deputy of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Sergiu Litvinenco, submitted, today, December 4, a referral to the Constitutional Court (CC) requesting to be declared unconstitutional the law voted by the deputies of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) and the parliamentary platform "For Moldova" through which the Information and Security Service (SIS) passed from the subordination of the Presidency to that of the Parliament, Radio Moldova reports.

The elected president of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, declared yesterday that the vote of the majority of PSRM and For Moldova together with Şor demonstrated that this Parliament must leave.

"The alliance between the socialist deputies and those from Şor voted in just a few minutes, in two readings, in a hurry, important bills, including the Budget Law. Unconsulted projects, projects that contain schemes over schemes at the expense of citizens. We will file an appeal to the Constitutional Court. We will demand the repeal of anti-people laws. We, together, will stop this attempt to usurp power in the state. This Parliament must leave, this Government must leave. Because of them, the country is in the abyss," mentioned the elected president, Maia Sandu.

TRM.MD recalls that the meeting of Thursday, December 3, of the Legislature, took place with a lot of tension, protests, pushes and whistles. PSRM deputies - For Moldova quickly voted several projects contested by opposition, without being examined by parliamentarians. These include the budget-fiscal projects for 2021 and the project to transfer the SIS under the administration of the Presidency to Parliament.

Subsequently, the representatives of the Dignity and Truth Platform, Dinu Plîngău and Alexandr Slusari, during a press briefing, announced that the projects voted by the PSRM-For Moldova parliamentary majority will be contested at the Constitutional Court, and the elected president, Maia Sandu, announced the initiation a new protest for Sunday, December 6th.
