Veaceslav Platon claims that Vlad Plahotniuc would coordinate the departure of the PDM deputies

Former leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova Vladimir Plahotniuc would coordinate the departure of PDM deputies, but would also obstruct the activity of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Constitutional Court, in order to prevent the investigation of bank fraud. The statement belongs to businessman Veaceslav Platon and was made during a show on TV8. According to Platon, during the investigation, Ilan Şor and Vlad Plahotniuc allegedly tried to corrupt several people, but also to resort to threats, attempts to influence witnesses and destroy the materials in the file. Representatives of the Pro Moldova Group and the Şor Party reject the accusations, reports Moldova 1.

"Plahotniuc gives instructions on the phone to Candu, Vladimir Cebotari, Şor. They are all coordinated with each other, they understand who and where they go, who they talk to, who and to whom they pay, how certain schemes are arranged. They figured out how to remove the attorney general. It was an attempt to destroy the legal basis for the appointment of Alexander Stoianoglo. It's a fierce battle. If it was not this investigation by the General Prosecutor's Office, it would not have been the purchase of deputies either," said Veaceslav Platon.

On the other hand, the representatives of the "Pro Moldova" Group reject the accusations and say that they will notify the law enforcement officers to investigate these statements, which they consider false, and the "Şor" Party states that it does not comment on the revelations.

"We have already initiated a series of lawsuits regarding all the falsehoods that have been told. We will notify the General Prosecutor's Office in order to thoroughly verify all this information," underlined Sergiu Sârbu, "Pro Moldova" deputy.

"No comment. Ilan Şor made several statements regarding the theft of the billion and we have nothing to comment on at the moment," said Alina Şargu, press officer at the "Şor" Party.

TRM.MD recalls that at the beginning of last week, the general prosecutor, Alexandr Stoianoglo, declared that the former leader of the Democratic Party Vladimir Plahotniuc would be one of the main beneficiaries of the bank fraud, and Veaceslav Platon's file would have been falsified. According to Stoianoglo, in this sense, the procedure for reviewing the sentence will be initiated.

On Monday, the General Prosecutor's Office confirmed that there is at least one criminal case for attempting to bribe a deputy. This is after the head of state, Igor Dodon, stated in an interview for a news portal that several Socialist deputies would have received offers of €400,000-500,000 to leave the party and move to Pro-Moldova or The Sor party. While the National Anticorruption Center confirmed that there are even more denunciations, the representatives of the two parties deny that they made proposals to the socialist deputies.
