Oleg Ţulea appointed Moldova’s Ambassador to Hungary

The current Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Oleg Ţulea was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Hungary. The parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration approved, in today's meeting, Ţulea's candidacy as Moldova’s ambassador to Hungary.

Oleg Ţulea earlier already held the post of Moldova’s Ambassador to Hungary and, simultaneously, to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia and the Danube Commission in 2016-2020, before being appointed as minister of foreign affairs.

Under the law on the diplomatic service, the ambassadors are appointed and dismissed by the President, at the suggestion of the Government. The candidates for ambassador are proposed to the Government by the minister of foreign affairs and European integration after consulting the Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration.
