Several deputies took the test at COVID-19

After the socialist deputy, Vladimir Mizdrenco, published on his social media page the confirmation of the positive result at COVID-19, the deputies who took the test for the new type of virus yesterday and today were luckier, their results being negative. In this way, the Legislature remains in quarantine for at least 14 days, reports Moldova 1.

In the post on his social network, Mizdrenco writes that he is feeling well and the disease is asymptomatic. However, he will stay in isolation for at least 14 days, under the strict supervision of the family doctor. Some MEPs believe, however, that parliamentary sittings should take place, at least in online format.

"We are interested in adopting all the conditionalities related to the benefit of €30 million from the European Union. Respectively, this can be done through a regular meeting, or if it is not possible and more will be infected from PSRM and PDM, then the solution is to adopt the project and vote for those conditions," says Sergiu Litvinenco, PAS deputy.

Those from "Pro Moldova" say that the suspension of the meetings would be done intentionally by the governing coalition.

"We have a different point of view regarding these arrangements with COVID-19 in Parliament. There are at least some questions, if we accept that a fellow deputy has been infected or if we do not accept, in both cases there are many question marks," said Vladimir Cebotari, " Pro Moldova" deputy.

In reply, the socialist Grigore Novac reminds the "Pro-Moldova" deputies that no elected member of the people has parliamentary immunity from the virus.

"It is unfortunate that colleagues from "Pro Moldova" can make such approaches, or, we know that this virus is relentless and does not choose much, that you are a deputy, you have immunity, here parliamentary immunity does not work, if we talk metaphorically," he said. Grigore Novac, PSRM deputy.

"Those colleagues who passed this test and we informed each other, have a negative result, which we are very happy about. But not all of them, a good part of colleagues were going to pass the test this morning. I do not want to comment on the statements of some colleagues from the Parliament, but it seems to me this an extraordinary cynicism to be able to juggle with the health of some people," said  Monica Babuc, vice-president of the Parliament.

Some of the deputies from PPDA took the test, and it came out negative.

"It simply came to our notice then. Some of my colleagues passed yesterday, their tests were negative. Nobody seems to have it. Everyone feels good," said Dinu Plîngău, deputy of the DA Platform.

The Secretary General of the Parliament, Adrian Albu declared that the results of the tests will be accumulated at the secretariat, and today the persons who came in direct contact with the two infected deputies were tested.

"Only those who were in direct contact with Mr. Nichiforciuc, ie the entire PDM cabinet, went to the secretariat, and taking into account the fact that yesterday Mr. Mizdrenco declared that he was infected, today the persons who were in contact with Mr. Mîzdrenco will be tested tomorrow," said Adrian Albu.

According to the order of the President of the Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, the deputies are obliged to stay in quarantine until the moment when all the deputies' tests will come out negative.
