In ATU, Gagauzia started the electoral campaign for the election of the Bashkan
In ATU Gagauzia today was the official start of the electoral campaign for the elections of the governor of the autonomous region, a press release of the Comrat electoral commission announced.
"Candidates have 60 days to go through an official registration procedure on behalf of the parties or to have support of initiative groups, to file documents with the Electoral Commission, to collect signatures, to organize promotional campaigns, etc.," reads a press release of the Electoral Commission in Comrat.
A hotline will work during the election campaign (0298 2-05-05). At this phone number, voters or potential candidates will be able to get all the information they need.
The election of the Bashkan will take place on 19 May 2019.
Governor of ATU Gagauzia is elected every four years.
