The "Pro Moldova" group requests amendments to the Fiscal Code

The "Pro Moldova" group demands that the payments made by employers in favor of employees for testing at COVID-19 be non-taxable. The group's leader, Andrian Candu, says he will register a bill in this regard in Parliament. According to the deputy, this initiative would encourage employers to pay for employees to be tested for the new type of virus, reports Moldova 1.

"We, at Pro Moldova, come with a legislative initiative, with amendments and completions in the current legislation, directly in the Fiscal Code, as transitional elements for the period we are going through. The payments that the employer will make in favor of the employee for the cost of the tests will be non-taxable and not subject to payments in social and medical insurance for the employee," said Andrian Candu.

If the proposal is accepted, the Government will be obliged to ensure the reimbursement of the money paid by the employees on account of taxes and social and medical contributions until the entry into force of this law.
