Two parliamentary working groups will analyze the situation in both agriculture and education

Two working groups, formed today following discussions between the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) and the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA), will analyze and come up with solutions to overcoming the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the difficult situation in which farmers found themselves due to the unfavorable weather conditions this year, as well as the challenges facing in this new year the education system against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first group, responsible for identifying solutions for farmers who have suffered from this year's drought, will be led by former Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Nicolae Ciubuc.

The second group, which will ensure the preparations for the resumption of studies from September 1 in safe conditions, will be managed by the former Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc.

"We had a very hot exchange of views on several topics, including the situation in agriculture, the situation caused by COVID-19 and the measures to be taken in the education system and other issues more specific to the Republic of Moldova during this period. We had a hot discussion, with an exchange of views from different positions, but we found that all parliamentary factions were active," said PDM deputy Dumitru Diacov.

The invitation to dialogue for parties was launched on Monday by PDM. Discussions on the parliamentary platform focused on three important topics: the crisis in agriculture, securing free presidential elections and the situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
