MPs meet in extraordinary meetings
The parliament is due to meet in extraordinary sessions today and on Friday, August 16. The deputies will examine in second reading adjustments to the state budget for 2019, as well as the initiative of the president of Moldova, which provides for pensions indexations twice a year, IPN reports.
Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii said on Wednesday, August 14, in a news conference that the Standing Bureau approved the agenda for the meetings.
According to the head of the Legislative, the extraordinary meetings are convened at the request of the Government, to examine some topics that cannot be postponed for September, when the ordinary meetings are held.
The agenda include issues related to the adjustments to the budget for 2019, adjustments to the budgetary-fiscal policy, the initiative that provides for the cancellation of fiscal facilities for gambling. Also, the project regarding the functionality of the duty-free shops at the entrance to Moldova will be examined.
The 2019 spring parliamentary session ended on July 31.
