The Labor Code, the Law on Remuneration and the Law on Remuneration in the Budget Sector have been amended
Parliament approved, in its final reading, a draft amendment to the Labor Code, the Wages Act and the Law on the Unitary Wage System in the Budget Sector to motivate workers working in high-risk health conditions.
The draft stipulates that, for work performed in conditions with increased health risk, compensation bonuses are established for employees, the amount of which will constitute at least a basic salary.
They will be paid for the actual duration of the work performed in conditions with increased health risk which will be the period to combat the pandemic or epidemic.
According to the document, the categories of employees involved in performing work in conditions of increased health risk during the state of emergency, siege or war or during the state of emergency in public health are established by the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Republic of Moldova or, after case, by the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health.
The draft was adopted by 83 votes of the deputies.
