Goods worth about 60 thousand lei, destroyed after the altercations in the Parliament

The estimates of the Parliament's secretariat, during yesterday's altercations in the Parliament's meeting room, show that goods worth about 50-60 thousand lei were destroyed. The information was made public during today's plenary session.

"According to the preliminary evaluation report, we have products with a total defect worth over 16 thousand lei and with a partial defect, worth over 46 thousand lei. Approximately, the defects are worth 50-60 thousand lei," said the representatives of the secretariat.

Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii called for the culprits to be identified and held accountable.

"If we continue like this, we will soon have nowhere to work. Whoever is guilty of damaging parliament's property must be held accountable. That's not why we save money, so that someone can make fun of them," said Zinaida Greceanii.

On the other hand, the leader of the "Pro Moldova" parliamentary group, Andrian Candu, declares that both the opposition and the power are to blame for yesterday's situation in the Parliament.

"What happened yesterday, what an entire country saw, was a disaster. It is not to be appreciated what the opposition did or what the power did. The power provoked what happened through the agenda and the way of voting. Either opposition is to be blamed if it has committed damages. Don't blame either the left or the right. Absolutely we are all responsible for what happened," said Andrian Candu.

It should be mentioned that the plenary session of the Parliament on December 3 took place with scandal. The parliamentary opposition has repeatedly blocked the presidency of parliament to prevent the adoption of laws. However, the legislative process took place despite these circumstances, the Legislature's agenda being exhausted.
