Ukraine is calling for more financial support from the European Union

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has asked the European Union on Monday for loans of hundreds of millions of euros and aid for infrastructure and business in eastern and southern regions, reports Mediafax.ro.

EU Foreign Ministers held talks on boosting Ukraine's aid, where presidential elections will take place next month.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini confirmed that the EU bloc will impose more sanctions on Russia following the incident in the Azov Sea.

"We need support in southern Ukraine to work with us on infrastructure. Russia's attempts to destabilize southern Ukraine are important for European security, "Klimkin said.
