The global pandemic situation

While some countries around the world are enjoying a decline in the number of people infected with Coronavirus, against the background of vaccinations, other countries are considering new restrictions that could reduce the number of diseases, especially in the context of the approaching Easter holidays. According to the latest information published by the World Health Organization, in addition to the existing ones, another 255 candidate vaccines are being developed worldwide - 73 of them in clinical trials - in countries such as Germany, China, Russia, the United Kingdom and The United States informs Moldova 1.

After reporting a significant decline in COVID-19 cases over several months, Indians are once again facing an outbreak of infection. In early February, doctors in the city of Amravati, about 700 km from Mumbai, India's most populous city, noticed a sharp rise in the number of people suffering from COVID-19. According to experts, people in the region have tightened protection measures, attended mass rallies, such as marriages and local election campaigns.

The Czech Republic is also facing almost record levels of new infections, despite the fact that the country is relatively rich, a member of the European Union, has access to vaccines, medical equipment and technological solutions for monitoring and control of Coronavirus. The government has acknowledged that it has no choice but to impose a very strict blockade from Monday, just as much of the rest of the world is starting to talk about relaxation.

"The situation is very serious, the health system has never faced such a challenge. Every day, the number of employees in the medical system increases by about a thousand cases of contamination. With 10 million people in the country, this number is very high," said Milan Kubek, the Czech Minister of Health.

Instead, the number of those infected in Turkey is declining after Turkey launched a massive vaccination campaign against COVID-19 on January 14, starting with health workers. According to official figures from the Ankara Ministry of Health, to date, more than 6.8 million people have received the first doses of the new Coronavirus vaccine, while the second dose has been given to more than 1.7 million. In the context, the Ankara authorities announced that they will gradually relax the restrictions of the March 1 Coronavirus.
