More than 40 injured in an accident in Israel

Two people were killed and another 41 injured after a bus overturned Sunday on a highway in Israel, between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, DPA informs, quoted by Agerpres.

Wounded passengers were taken to the hospital, two of them in critical condition, according to emergency service Magen David Adom.

The accident involved a bus and a private vehicle and took place on Highway 443 outside the Israeli settlement Beit Horon in the West Bank.

Images of the accident showed the bus overturned, with all the broken windshield and blood stains.

David Krispel, operations manager at United Hatzalah Emergency Response Organization, as well as other paramedics, gave the wounded initial medical treatment.

"Some of them were caught and the firefighters were trying to save them," Krispel said in a statement. "Unfortunately, it was a difficult scene with many victims in the vehicle and the overturned bus," he added.
