New fights in eastern Ukraine
New struggles in eastern Ukraine after the fragile peace obtained by the agreement between the leaders of Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Germany and France, reports Moldova 1 TV.
The Ukrainian army announced that one soldier was killed and another one was wounded.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin hosts Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, in Moscow today.
Merkel and Putin were among the leaders who agreed on a new ceasefire for eastern Ukraine at the Paris meeting last month. Separatist groups supported by the Russians and the Ukrainian army have blamed each other for the recent worsening of the conflict that has been going on for several years in the eastern regions of Ukraine, near the border with Russia.
About 13,000 people were killed in the conflict, according to UN estimates.
