The UK plans to launch the Coronavirus vaccination campaign

Next week, the UK could start the Coronavirus vaccination campaign. The kingdom will authorize Pfizer BioNTech serum in the coming days. Meanwhile, in Madrid, thousands of medical employees protested against a hospital for people infected with COVID-19. However, the Czech Republic announced that on Thursday it will reopen all shops and restaurants, beauty salons and museums, Moldova 1 reports.

Britain seems to be the first country to approve an immunizing serum and start the vaccination campaign. December 7 is the date taken into account. The UK ordered 40 million doses. Two are needed for each person, with a month-interval between them.

In the European Union, the approval of the same vaccine, with 95 percent efficacy in tests, is expected in the second half of December. In Madrid, thousands of medical staff took to the streets. Authorities are criticized for lack of investment in the public health system in the area. Health protesters are also dissatisfied with the construction of a COVID hospital in Madrid, which could capture resources allocated to other medical institutions.

This weekend, there was also a protest in London. The British are furious at the imposition of new restrictions. More than 60 people have been arrested in clashes with police.

In Belgium, at least 17 people were detained and seven injured in violent clashes between protesters and law enforcement.

Belgians also no longer support the new anti-COVID measures. Instead, as of Thursday, December 3, Czechs can once again enjoy going out to restaurants or museums. The traffic ban is also lifted during the night.

Overseas, the pandemic situation differs from state to state, and authorities anticipate an increase in the number of COVID cases after the Thanksgiving holiday. However, public schools in New York are beginning to reopen. Students will be tested weekly.

In one week, Russia registered almost as many cases of COVID-19 as in the entire month of September - about 180 thousand. In the last 24 hours, more than 26,000 Russians have been tested positive.

In Ukraine, the daily balance is approaching ten thousand new cases.
