Extreme weather creates havoc in several world countries
Catastrophic flooding happened in a settlement in Spain. A person died after the car he was in was taken by the waters. The water destroyed several roads, flooded dwellings and caused significant damage. It destroyed several regions of Italy, where it rained with hail, and the wind swept everything, Moldova 1 TV reports.
In a few hours a heavy rain turned the streets of Navarre into rivers. The heavy rains reached
100 liters per square meter. In some areas, the water reached four meters. Authorities have decreed alert status in Navarra.
In Verona (Italy) it rained with ice the size of a golf ball and a beach was swept by the strong wind. Scared people started looking for a place to shelter.
China is also affected by floods. Over 25,000 people were evacuated from the waterways and from landslides caused by the rains. Hundreds of houses and roads were destroyed.
In the Irkutsk region, that is affected by the floods, hundreds of people were hospitalized. According to a final report, 24 people died because of the bad weather.
