Warning for torrential rains, floods and landslides in Japan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces the Romanians who are in transit, or want to travel to Japan, that in the eastern part of the country there is a risk of flooding and landslides due to torrential rains, Mediafax.ro writes .

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) informs Romanian citizens who are in, transiting or wishing to travel to Japan, the eastern part of the country, that, according to the information distributed by the Japanese Meteorological Agency, there is a risk of flooding and landslides, due to torrential rains, in Nagano, Kanagawa, Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures, "said on Monday the MAE representatives in a press release .

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Romanians should pay more attention if they are in or transiting the affected areas, follow the advice of the local authorities and closely follow the information distributed by the competent Japanese authorities.

"Romanian citizens can request consular assistance on the telephone numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Japan: +81 (0) 3-3479-1804, +81 (0) 3-3479 0431, +81 (0) 3-3479-0432, calls being redirected to the Contact Center and Support of Romanian Citizens from abroad (CCSCRS) and taken over by the Call Center operators on a permanent basis. Also, the Romanian citizens who are facing a difficult, special situation, with an urgent character also have at their disposal the permanent telephone of Romania's diplomatic mission in Tokyo: + 8180-4461-4465 ”, according to the quoted source.
