Eurovision 2020 national selection: When will the LIVE auditions take place
The LIVE auditions will take place on February 1 and will be aired on Moldova 2. Thirty six tracks will be heard by the jury.
The participants and the pieces entered in the contest can be viewed on www.eurovision.md.
The members of the Organizing Committee have also decided that the LIVE auditions of the pieces entered in the national selection of the Eurovision 2020 Competition will be held on February 1, at 3:00 pm, in the National Television studio 2, with live broadcast on TV Moldova 2. A jury formed by trained professionals will evaluate the competitors’ vocal performance.
At this stage, the elements of the show or the scenic clothing are not required, the criteria of appreciation being the melodic line, the originality of the piece, the vocal performance, but also the actual interpretation. Each participant will be given time for the necessary sound adjustments.
The organizing committee of the Eurovision 2020 Competition was notified about the violation of the article of the regulation regarding the prohibition of the public interpretation of the competition song until September 1, 2019. Thus, evidence of interpretation of the song "Adio" was presented by the Che-MD band on May 18, 2019. The video images with the interpretation were published on the official youtube channel of the band on May 26, 2019. Due to the non-observance of the regulation, the Organizing Committee voted to suspend the band from the selection contest.
The request of the interpreter Pelageya Stefoglo with the request to take into consideration the electronic application made on January 14, which for technical reasons, at that time, had been delivered to email@example.com was only partially satisfied. Thus, the 35 competitors are expected at the LIVE auditions stage. They will present 36 songs in the reverse order of the registration list in the competition. All current information about the contest can be accessed on the website www.eurovision.md.
The 65th edition of the competition will take place in Rotterdam and will consist of two semifinals, organized on May 12 and 14, and the final that will take place on May 16. The traditional music competition will be broadcast live by Moldova 1 and online on www.trm.md.
