The last day of electoral agitation

The Central Electoral Commission warns that today, October 30, is the last day when the electoral contestants for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova can make electoral agitation.

Electoral legislation stipulates that electoral agitation is strictly prohibited on election day and the day before. These days, the appearance of candidates in elections for television or radio shows is not allowed either. TRM.MD recalls that the respective prohibition does not refer to the information already placed on the internet and on the posters previously exposed.

Also, the electoral contestants cannot make transfers to or from the account with the mention “Electoral fund”.

Continuation of the electoral agitation on the days mentioned by the media, electoral contestants and citizens constitutes an administrative contravention and is sanctioned with a fine from 15 to 30 conventional units applied to the natural person or with a fine from 35 to 50 conventional units applied to the person in office accountability or electoral competitor.
