Special work program at the polling station in Baku

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) decided to establish the activity program of the polling station no. 1/307 in the city of Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, between 07:00 and 18:00.

According to the CEC, the action is determined by the need to ensure safe voting for voters, as well as for members of the electoral body, who are to count and total the election results, going home within the allowed hours.

The declaration by the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan of the Martial Law in connection with the Azerbaijani-Armenian military conflict provides for the introduction of a state of siege in several cities, including the city of Baku. Therefore, the established state exceeds the limits of the national sovereignty of the state, and the Republic of Moldova, through the representation of the Embassy, has the obligation to respect and comply with the laws of the host state.

This situation limits access to cities, so being on the street after 19:30 is not recommended, and between 21:00 and 06:00 being on the streets and in public spaces without special permits is prohibited.
