Deadline for submitting the declaration of residence expires on October 1

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) reminds that voters who want to vote at their place on the day of the presidential election on November 1, 2020 can declare their new place of residence by October 1, inclusively.

In order to be able to vote at a polling station other than the one corresponding to the valid domicile or residence, the voter will personally submit a declaration of residence, accompanied by a copy of the ID, to the local public administration authority of the place where he wishes to vote.

By this procedure, the voter will be registered in the basic electoral list of the polling station according to the declared place of residence, where on the day of the elections he or she will cast the right to vote.

The CEC notes that the statements submitted for the previous elections are no longer valid.
