Contradictory views on the Bahamas money laundering case
"The Bahamas case reveals the influence of the Russian Security Service on Moldova." This was announced by the candidate for the seat of president of Moldova Octavian Ticu in a conference. "The Bahamas case is clear evidence of the hybrid war that the Russian Federation is waging against the Republic of Moldova, the West and the United States of America. This destabilization on the Transnistrian segment is also done out of the desire to guarantee Igor Dodon a new mandate as president of the state ", says Octavian Ţîcu.
Contacted by Moldova 1, Ludmila Muntean, the spokesperson of the independent candidate Igor Dodon stated that “it is a new episode of manifestation of oligarchic cans. With their help, Plahotniuc launches fakes, in an attempt to compromise the president and to favor Maia Sandu in these elections ".
We remind that, previously, the deputy Iurie Reniţă made several revelations about the involvement of the socialist deputies in this scheme. Subsequently, Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo said that about 30 people were heard in this case. The president of the PSRM faction in the Parliament, Corneliu Furculiţă, declared then that the Bahamas file would be a political one and aims to intimidate the members of the party.
